Fernando Alonso's third place finish at the Saudi Arabian GP took the two-time World Champion to 100 Formula 1 podiums, joining a list of famous names. The 2005 and 2006 World Champion has enjoyed a fine return to the forefront of the F1 grid, and has secured two podiums from two races in 2023.
Having waited several seasons for competitive F1 machinery, the 42-year-old finally achieves the landmark moment, and joins just five other drivers in the '100 club'.
Alonso took most of his podiums at the beginning of his career. He achieved 37 in his first stint at Renault (2003 - 2006), during which he also took his two world titles, 12 in his first period at McLaren (2007), 4 in his second period at Renault (2008 - 2009), 44 for Ferrari (2010 - 2014), 1 for Alpine (2021-2022) and 2 so far for Aston Martin (2023).
